Product Specialist and Trainer

The Product Specialist arranges and delivers training presentations, group discussions and educational programs for our customers. The Product Specialist will possess an in-depth knowledge of the company’s automation related products and be able to present the latest in optimization and automation news and programs using that specialized knowledge in order to increase the company’s sales targets. The Product Specialist reports to the Sales Manager.

  • Works with the sales team to ensure all customers’ training needs are met in a timely manner. Organize projects, trainings or activities which support sales objectives.
  • Provides first line technical support for internal and external customers.
  • Service oriented approach, flexible and proactive towards ever changing clients' needs.
  • Determination to reach challenging goals and create business opportunities.
  • Keep up to date with market trends and new developments utilizing information for business improvement.
  • Open and clear communicator, both oral and written.
  • Set goals and deadlines with plans to deliver effectively.
  • Recognize problems and react quickly and effectively to resolve them.
  • Assist in the preparation of quotations for all Lufkin Automation product lines.
  • Liaison between customers, engineers, outside sales, manufacturing and project management to ensure timely and accurate completion of orders and quotes.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of post-secondary institution; preferably Electrical (Tradesperson or Tech) or Petroleum or similar.
  • General knowledge of oilfield production equipment operation and some oil well operating principles.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills, intermediate proficiency of Microsoft applications.
  • Must have prior related work experience and a desire to work in a fun and fast paced environment with little supervision once training is complete.
  • Strong command of the English language.

    • Fully responsible for preparing, scheduling and delivering local and field training for all automation products.
    • Proficiency in MS PowerPoint is a must.
    •  Works with the sales team to ensure all customers’ training needs are met in a timely manner.
    • Organize projects, trainings or activities which support sales objectives.
    • Provides first line technical support for internal and external customers.
    • Service oriented approach, flexible and proactive towards ever changing clients' needs.
    • Determination to reach challenging goals and create business opportunities.
