LUFKIN's oil field pumping units are known throughout the world as the industry standard. The types of units produced include Conventional, Mark II, Beam-balanced, Air-balanced, Reverse-Mark, Low-profile, Slant-hole, and Conventional Portable. The Company's units are extremely adaptable to meet customers various production demands.
LUFKIN's success in the world's market for pumping units has been achieved in part by our production engineering which utilizes machining cells and conveyor system for mechanical handling.
LUFKIN also has local manufacturing capability in many of our international markets which allows us to meet specific country content requirements. LUFKIN's well established position in the major oil producing areas of the world has enabled the Company to maintain its presence in all major markets.
Besides new pumping units, LUFKIN's Oilfield Services group refurbishes & sells used pumping units, and provides installation, field service, machine shop repair, and new OEM parts for its customers.
Additionally, the Company operates a gray and ductile iron Foundry producing up to 300 tons per day of captive and commercial castings for the heavy equipment, valve and machine tool markets.
To help customers reduce production costs, LUFKIN's oilfield automation group, Lufkin Automation provides pump-off controllers, fluid level products & analysis, consulting services, and training programs.
Lufkin has expanded its artificial lift product portfolio to offer gas lift systems, plunger lift systems and completion equipment with the acquisition of International Lift Systems (ILS).
Lufkin acquired the operating assets of Petro Hydraulic Lift Systems, LLC (PHL) and certain related companies. PHL specializes in the design, manufacture and leasing of hydraulic rod pumping units for oil and gas wells.
Lufkin acquired Pentagon Optimization Services, Inc. based in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada. Pentagon is a diversified well optimization company serving the oil and gas industry that provides a wide range of products and services including plunger lift systems and well engineering and testing.
